Construction Our latex is 100% natural, completely biodegradable and uses a lot less energy in production compared to synthetic rubber, it also needs no health enhancing chemicals or masking agents.
This soft supportive orthopaedic layer helps relieves pressure points and is kind to your pets body as well as the environment providing ideal support which is especially welcomed by older pets.
100% Pure Natural Latex is inherently hypo-allergenic, anti-microbial and dust mite resistant, making it perfect for allergy sufferers or anyone wanting to breathe fresh air. In addition, natural latex is breathable, keeping your pet warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Derived from the hevea brasiliensis or the rubber tree, latex is the most naturally durable cushioning material available. So while it might cost a little more initially, in the long run, only latex will provide the perfect balance of comfort and support for years to come.

Construction
Coconut fibre (also known as Coir) is very tough yet also elastic. The fibre hardly deteriorates at all over time. The fibre is collected from the coconut husk, a resource that is widely available. Only a fraction of the huge quantities of nuts are collected for industrial use. The food industry is the main consumer, and it focuses on the coconut milk and edible flesh. These valuable raw materials have been given a new purpose in life.
Coir and latex are hygienic, nontoxic, non-carcinogenic, hypoallergenic and dust-free.
Rubberising The spun natural fibres are shaped into a fleece and sprayed with latex as part of the production process. The latex binds the curled fibres which are then pressed and vulcanised in several layers into resilient mattresses.
This process leads to sheets with a very open and resilient structure. Sheets like this provide a good micro climate. On top of that it has good shock absorbing properties. This makes it great for mattresses.

Construction Needled wool is cut into rectangular pieces that perfectly fit the side walls to soften and waterproof the Smart Mattress. In the needling process the curled fibres are linked together by a special technique. A thin layer of latex may also be applied for enhanced binding of the fibres. |

Construction Our Smart Mattress skin is manufactured from 225gsm Faux Suede, 100% Polyester fabric, with a strong reputation for being as close to true suede as possible, whilst being much more versatile. We have tested this fabric over a long period of time and find it to be extremely durable. I am sure there are some pets who insist on eventually chewing or clawing through any fabric but if this happens the good news is all parts of the Smart Mattress system are replaceable for those persistent pets. Each cover comes with a zip for removal from the Smart mattress as it is machine washable to 30°C. |

Construction The fur cover has two sides, underneath consists of faux suede, the top layer is a faux fur that simulates that of your pets mum. You can undo the zip and pop a heating implement inside to further accentuate this effect. The Smart Mum cover gives a very calming and comfortable feeling which reduces the stress of leaving the litter.

Construction High performance PU Coated Waterproof Breathable Polyester Fabric. The fabric is 100% waterproof and boasts a class 3 breathable rating, please bear in mind because of the stitching holes it is classed as water resistant. Both the Smart Protector and the Smart Wrap Protector are machine washable to 30°C. |
